🧭 About the Role
The United Nations ESCAP is seeking an experienced Consultant to support the Green Transition of SME Project Management within the Trade, Investment and Innovation Division. The consultant will play a key role in planning, executing, and supervising green transition initiatives targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Asia-Pacific region.
🎯 Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of SME-focused green transition projects.

Develop tailored project plans, monitoring tools, and risk mitigation strategies.

Provide capacity-building and technical guidance to SMEs on sustainable practices.

Collaborate closely with regional and national stakeholders, including private sector and government partners.

Monitor and evaluate project outcomes; prepare high-quality progress and final reports.
✔️ Required Qualifications

Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics, Project Management, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 10 years in project management, SME advisory, or related consultancy, ideally within international development or UN settings.

Skills:

Proven experience managing green or sustainability focused projects.

Demonstrated ability in stakeholder outreach and capacity-building.

Excellent analytical, reporting, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and facilitation abilities in English; additional UN language is a plus.
