SFAC Recruitment 2026 Notification Released for Director, Deputy Director, Manager (Finance) and Accounts Officer Posts
The Small Farmers’ Agri-Business Consortium (SFAC), an autonomous body functioning under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, has released an important recruitment notification for various deputation-based positions. The vacancies include Director, Deputy Director (Project Development Facility), Manager (Finance), and Accounts Officer posts.
This recruitment opportunity is particularly significant for experienced officers working in Central Government, State Government, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and autonomous organizations who are looking for deputation assignments in the agriculture and agribusiness sector.
SFAC plays a major role in promoting Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), implementation of e-NAM (National Agriculture Market), and several government-backed agribusiness initiatives across India. The organization is currently involved in implementation of the Central Sector Scheme for Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs, along with projects related to fisheries, beekeeping, agro-processing, and rural agri-marketing.
SFAC Vacancy 2026: Post-wise Details
According to the official notification, SFAC has announced a total of six vacancies under different pay levels of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
The post of Director has two vacancies and carries Pay Level-12 with salary in the range of Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 along with Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.
Two vacancies have also been announced for the post of Deputy Director (Project Development Facility). The selected candidates will receive Pay Level-11 salary ranging from Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.
One vacancy is available for Manager (Finance) under Pay Level-9 with salary from Rs. 53,100 to Rs. 1,67,800 and Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
In addition, one post of Accounts Officer has been advertised under Pay Level-7 carrying salary between Rs. 44,900 and Rs. 1,42,400 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.
Eligibility Criteria for Director Post
The Director position is intended for senior officers with substantial experience in project management and agribusiness operations.
Applicants should either be holding an analogous post on regular basis or should have completed at least five years of regular service in Pay Level-11 or equivalent post under the 7th CPC.
Apart from service eligibility, candidates must possess a minimum of 12 years of professional experience. Out of this, at least five years of experience should relate to appraisal, financing, execution, monitoring, or implementation of projects associated with agribusiness, agro-processing, agro-marketing, procurement, or allied agricultural sectors.
The selected Director will be responsible for implementation and supervision of projects and schemes related to agri-business and Farmer Producer Organizations. Duties will also include coordination with Central and State Governments, policy support, stakeholder engagement, organization of workshops and conferences, and administrative supervision.
Eligibility Conditions for Deputy Director (PDF)
For the post of Deputy Director (Project Development Facility), applicants should either hold an analogous post or possess five years of regular service in Pay Level-10 or equivalent.
The notification requires candidates to have a minimum of ten years of work experience. At least five years should be related to agriculture projects, agro-processing, agro-marketing, fisheries, food technology, apiculture, or other agro-allied sectors.
The selected officers will be involved in project appraisal, monitoring, preparation of reports, coordination with stakeholders, field inspections, awareness programmes, and policy-related work connected with SFAC schemes and initiatives.
Manager (Finance) and Accounts Officer Eligibility
For the Manager (Finance) post, officers holding analogous posts or having five years of regular service in Pay Level-7 or Level-8 are eligible to apply. Candidates should also possess at least three years of experience in finance, budgeting, and accounts-related matters.
The Accounts Officer post requires candidates holding analogous posts or those having three years of regular service in Pay Level-6 or equivalent. Applicants must also have minimum three years of experience dealing with accounts, budgeting, financial rules, and regulations.
The finance-related posts will involve responsibilities such as budget preparation, financial reporting, cash management, payroll handling, expenditure monitoring, maintenance of financial records, and financial coordination for organizational activities.
Age Limit and Deputation Period
The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation basis should not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
The deputation period for all posts will initially be for three years, including short-term contract basis.
Documents Required Along With Application
Candidates are required to submit their applications through proper channel along with several mandatory documents.
These include:
- Bio-data in prescribed format
- Attested copies of APARs for the last five years
- Vigilance Clearance Certificate
- Integrity Certificate
- Cadre Clearance Certificate
- Details of penalties imposed, if any, during the last ten years
The notification clearly states that incomplete applications or applications not routed through proper channel may not be considered.
