Post-wise Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility is based on holding an analogous post on regular basis, or a specified number of years of regular service in the feeder level, combined with the qualification/experience listed below. Full details are available in the official circular.

1. Senior Environmental Engineer — 07 posts (Level-12)

Service: Holding analogous post on regular basis; or at least 5 years' regular service in Level-11 or equivalent.

Qualification: Master's degree in Engineering (Civil/Environment/Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical/ECE/Biomedical/Water Resources/Remote Sensing/GIS/Hydrology) with 10 years' experience in pollution control or related field after the Master's degree.

2. Environmental Engineer — 15 posts (Level-11)

Service: Holding analogous post; or 5 years' regular service in Level-10 or equivalent.

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (relevant field as above) with 8 years' experience post-degree, OR Master's degree in Engineering with 6 years' experience post-degree, in pollution control or related field.

3. Assistant Environmental Engineer — 11 posts (Level-10)

Service: Holding analogous post on regular basis.

Qualification: Degree in Engineering (relevant field) with 2 years' experience in pollution control/related field, OR Master's degree in Engineering.

4. Additional Director (Scientist 'E') — 01 post (Level-13)

Service: Holding analogous post; or 5 years' regular service in Level-12 or equivalent.

Qualification: Master's degree in Science with 15 years' experience in pollution control/related subjects, OR Doctorate in Science with 10 years' experience.

5. Senior Scientist L-II (Scientist-D) — 01 post (Level-12)

Service: Holding analogous post; or 5 years' regular service in Level-11 or equivalent.

Qualification: Master's degree in Science with at least 13 years' experience in pollution control/related subjects, OR Doctorate in Science.

6. Senior Scientist L-I (Scientist-C) — 02 posts (Level-11)

Qualification: Master's degree in Science with at least 8 years' experience in pollution control/related subjects.

8. Scientific Assistant — 04 posts (Level-6)

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Science with experience in laboratory work.

9. Senior Lab Assistant — 05 posts (Level-4)

Service: Holding analogous post; or 8 years' regular service in Level-2 or equivalent.

10. Assistant Law Officer — 01 post (Level-7)

Service: Holding analogous post; or 5 years' regular service in Level-6 or equivalent.

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Law with 4 years' experience as a legal practitioner or in handling legal work in a Government Department/PSU/Autonomous Body/Statutory Body.

11. Legal Assistant — 05 posts (Level-6)

Service: Holding analogous post; or 3 years' regular service after appointment in Level-6 or equivalent.

Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognized University.

12. System Analyst — 01 post (Level-11)

Service: Holding analogous post; or 5 years' regular service in Level-10, or 8 years' regular service in Level-6 or equivalent.

Qualification (any one):

  • Master's degree in Computer Application/Computer Science, M.Tech, or BE/B.Tech in Computer Engg./Computer Science with 5 years' EDP experience (min. 2 years in actual programming)

Important: Applications which are incomplete, not forwarded through proper channel, or without attested copies of APAR dossier and other required documents will not be considered and will be summarily rejected.

General Conditions

  1. Application should be sent either in English or in Hindi, in the prescribed proforma only.
  2. Only Indian Nationals need apply.
  3. The Board reserves the right not to fill up any post, if so decided.
  4. Applications shall be received only "Through Proper Channel." If a candidate submits an advance copy, they must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department before the interview, along with an undertaking to submit all requisite documents before joining.
