2Eligibility & Calculation Formula

Regular Employees

Minimum 6 months of continuous service during 2024–25 is mandatory, and the employee must be in service as on 31 March 2025 (subject to the pro-rata exceptions covered later).

₹7,000 × 30 days ÷ 30.4 = ₹6,908 (rounded)

Casual Labour

Applicable to workers completing 240 days/year in six-day offices, or 206 days/year in five-day offices, over 3 years.

Deputation

Employees on deputation to PSUs or State Governments receive their bonus from the borrowing organisation only — not from their parent Central Government department.

6Resignation vs. Superannuation

Resignation: Employees who resigned before 31 March 2025 are disqualified from the bonus entirely.
Superannuation / Retirement / Death: Employees who superannuated, retired on medical invalidation, or died after completing six months of service receive pro-rata benefits based on qualifying service.

7Suspension & Leave Rules

Extra-Ordinary Leave (EOL) and any period spent under suspension are excluded from active qualifying service, unless the period is fully regularised by the competent authority.
